The Hine Beanie is a fair isle project that to me, hast all the Winter feels. The pattern suggests working with three colors but you can make it your own and work with just two colors or more than three. If you are new to Fair Isle, knitting with two colors will help you get more comfortable with stranded work.
A little about the name of this pattern: Hine is one of the roads in Connecticut that we enjoy the most. We love to walk by the farms in there and look at the cows and horses and ponds. The views are spectacular and give us the calmness needed after a busy day. Just look at this picture:
Don't you feel a sense of calm just looking at it?
The Hine Beanie features one of my preferred brims for a beanie... one that makes your beanie have a tighter snug, which I welcome so much during the colder days.
Because of the Bulky yarn weight it calls for, it is a fast knit. For this specific pattern, I worked with Hue and Me from Lion Brand Yarn. This yarn has a sturdy feel and the result is just so cozy. Click here to see all the colors available for Hue and Me. One thing my testers that worked with Hue and Me said was that it did not matter which colors you worked on, they all go so well together.
Have fun choosing your colors!

I am so looking forward to see your own versions of The Hine Beanie... did I mention that the PDF includes a chart where you can add your own colors and also an illustration of The Hine Beanie so you can see clearly how your colors would look?
How awesome is that?!
My friend, Bernardina, from @bg.sketches, made this illustration for you. I think this will be one of the most loved features about this pattern.
